As I understand everything, the WE60 is a entry-level sharpening system for people that want a good sharpening system at a lower price. It is not meant to replace the higher end Wicked Edge systems.

It would be nice if the stones were broken in when we bought them. I’m not sure what they would cost but I doubt the machines that broke the stones in would be inexpensive.

I just sent my WE60 article to Clay for his approval. As soon as he approves it, I will upload it here on this thread.

Basically, the same. It just depends on which units have the standard vise or the lever-action vise, and the standard angle slide assemblies or the     micro-adjusting lead screw slide assemblies.

August 15th for the basic WE60 model that will have the ‘New’ standard vise and the ‘New’ standard angle slides. The other units will be coming later.

Wow! That is a thin blade.

For food safe blade oiling, mineral oil is best. It is also very inexpensive as well.

Yep, the Wicked Edge systems get knives really sharp. But where they really shine is in reprofiling blades. You get a perfect edge apex.

I gave my Victorinox paring knife to the girls for the kitchen, and they love it.

I used rubber grommets for stone stops until mine came in.

I just use the sharpie to get the bevel angles and go with it.
