When I sharpen my single bevel Japanese knives I use the W.E. stone hand-held, not on the guide rod, to debur the flat side of the clamped knife. This gives you the stone control needed for that situation.
Here’s a video made by Clay describing this method:

Jim, forum member member Ed K, makes an after market micro-angle adjuster kit for W.E. models. These adjusters lock your guide rod angles very securely, precisely and tools free. They make working with the W.E. easy and enjoyable.

I think it’s more about the sharpening mediums and the sharpening technique. I’ll admit I don’t have a lot of experience or opportunities to sharpen these newer high tech steels found…[Read more]

Each upgrade can allow you to use your W.E. sharpener easier in order to achieve better sharpening results with less difficulty and effort. My experience with Miyabi knives is they are a typical “V” grind bevel. The only way to…[Read more]

Based on the scope’s product descriptions and my experience with this type of scope it connects via wifi direct to tablets or smart phones. Not through a home network/router. Only wired via USB to computers.
