I bought the WE Pro and love it with the knives I sharpen I just recently bought the Tormek T-8 so I can sharpen still bits axes e ct. that I can not do on the WE. I have found the re-profiling with the tormek is a lot faster and then finishing on the WE makes the whole thing go much faster. The only thing I need for the tormek is the Japanese wet stone. It is nice having both. Makes for a lot more business opportunity.

10/13/2019 at 4:11 pm #52360Got it done. Not all pits came out but I didn’t want to take to much. Gave a good sharpening only to 600 grit at 18°. Looks a lot better. Got another two projects coming. Old case knives that I got at a sale. Can’t wait to start on them.

10/10/2019 at 7:35 am #52344It’s starting to look like a useable knife again. Still have some work on it but didn’t have time last night. Got home a little late.

10/03/2019 at 9:05 am #52274That was my thinking also. A good time saw with a diamond blade. I have laid lots of time and have used a wet saw for many years. I am going to order some of wetstones and oil stones to put on blank handles. One stone usually is around 8″ x 2″ so I can get two blanks and two stones to make the complete set.

09/24/2019 at 3:50 pm #52179I’m just going to put this out there about customer service. They are EXCELLENT. Got ahold of Clay by email after unpacking one of my ceramic stone sets to put into my rack it that I got from MarcH. As soon as they came out of the plastic, both sides fell out of the handles. Glue didn’t stick at all. Clay gave me an email right back and had me new stones sent out two days later. If it wasn’t for the storm Imelda I would of had them within four days of contact with him. Came in yesterday but haven’t unpacked them yet. Going home tonight to unpack and send the other stones back. EXCELLENT Can not get any better.

09/21/2019 at 1:48 pm #52140Thanks for that Marc. I was reading how to do it on the knowledge base but now I just watched the video and that is exactly what I want to do to my buck knife. Thanks again.

09/21/2019 at 11:24 am #52137Thanks brewbear I am working on my buck knife had some surface rust on it super eraser took it off like a charm. Sharpening it right now with a 16° bevel and I’m going to convex the edge to 18°. It chips to easy at 16° which is the way it came from factory, so hopefully convexing the bevel will help it out. Got to 1500 last night but ran out of time. When i get home tonight I will strop it then do the edge to the 18° that I want. Forgot pictures before I started but will put some up after I finish. Thanks guys.

09/21/2019 at 5:31 am #52135Thanks for all the input. Was just thinking about it because I have actually watched the video a couple of times. Probly will just stick with cleaning with a soft brush and some dawn. Also the alcohol spray. Thanks again.
