There’s always somebody here so I’m not worried about it that much. I just don’t want them all setting online waiting for the, “third parties”. And I don’t use FB, Twitter, or any of that crap.

Yeah, but no sense in making it easy for them. I don’t use the same passwords, and I write them all down on paper, not on the web or cloud.

Thanks, but I don’t trust that either. I don’t want anything on the Net holding my passwords. The Chicoms already got about everything else. Just a matter of time before they have your passwords also, that’s assuming that they don’t already have them. When you signed up to Lastpass, did you actually read the TOS and privacy policies, or just…[Read more]

I kinda figured it was something like that. I don’t like to use the same password for different systems. Guess I should’ve made an exception in this case.

Not me, I have two and will have to get a third if I want to look at the ticket that was created. I signed in at the main webpage the first time. And when I went to the forums page, it made me select a new password for it. And awhile ago when I received an email from them on the ticket that I created and clicked on the spot to “view ticket”, it…[Read more]

Why do we have to have so many passwords for Wicked Edge? I have to have a password for the main website, and then another password for the forum, and I guess I have to set another password to see tickets because neither of the other two will work to see tickets. It’s ridiculous…

I don’t have a Gen3 Pro but I would just mark it on two opposite sides with white-out or something easy to remove so that I could put the clamp back on the base at the exact location, just in case there are no locator pins. I am sure that someone with experience will chime in soon.

I’m not that fussy of a customer either. But I will tell them about it. I hope that you did not use red threadlocker. But most people use way too much even when they use the blue threadlocker. It doesn’t take but a few dots of it usually. I bought the Stainless Steel micro-adjusting kit because I wanted it for the extra range. Do you have the…[Read more]

Hi Marc. I ordered the SS micro-adjusters, stone and strop covers, and other goodies the other day. They are supposed to be shipped on Monday. Thanks for all the help!

I have the WE130 and don’t know much about the Gen3. The micro-adjusters on my WE130 always stay tight. It might be easier and better to put a couple wraps of Teflon tape on the threads.

Hi Jacob, and welcome to the WE family! I use thumb tips off of nitrile gloves. Just cut them off about an inch long and poke a little hole in the tip. Then slide the thumb tip down the guide rod. I also tape my WE off to keep shavings from getting into other parts.

Hi Jason. I am pretty new here also. I have the Wicked Edge 130 and the Work Sharp Ken Onion with the Grinding Attachment, and I love them both! For knives I only use the Grinding Attachment. You have to be careful with any belt system because they will remove a lot of steel quick if you are not careful. It is always a good idea to practice with…[Read more]

I need to get a USB microscope. My big AmScope is on my electronics bench and I don’t like to put my WE on it. My HH microscope doesn’t work well with checking edges. The blade edges keep sticking into the plastic lens spacer/protector. I usually just use my lighted magnivisor while the blade is clamped.

I noticed that as well but didn’t think much of it since I check and adjust the angle Everytime I change stones. I also like my Klein Tools 935DAG angle finder better than the one WE sent with my PPIII. I will just set the angle of the first stones that I start with on the next knife that I sharpen and not change the settings through the rest of…[Read more]

I don’t know myself. I do not use protector shields/finger guards. I take my time and don’t slam the stones into my blade edge and sharpen 90 miles an hour like I’m trying to win a race. I hold the stones with the tip of my thumb in the second divot from the bottom, and my index finger/middle finger tips in the second and first bottom divots…[Read more]
