I use the blue painters tape.

I use masking tape on the blades before I clamp them up in my WE130, just in case.

It would be nice to see some photos! Before I bought my CPK U/F, I bought a Buck 120 General. I have always been partial to Buck knives and I just had to have at least one General. I also got three Grade A USA military surplus M7 bayonets for me and my two sons.

I also decided to just buy the Pro Pack III and get it over with because I knew I would eventually end up with one anyway. May as well save a little money up front, and cry once as they say.

I don’t know much about the Gen 3 Pro. I figured that the only difference is how they are put together. I like the WE130 because each side is adjusted independently from each other and I can grind asymmetrical grinds if I choose to. Plus it sits lower on the bench or table.

That’s true. It wasn’t that big of a deal to me, so I never said anything. I just take a photo of it. But I was puzzled when I saw it the first time.

Yeah, I just didn’t want to say anything because I figured that I would get slapped around. 😊

But it’s an easy fix. I’m sure that they will get around to it when they get a chance.

The AAG is poorly designed. There is a lot of lower space on it that most people will never use unless they are sharpening a boomerang. It needs to go much higher. I have no idea what they were thinking of when they designed it. Hopefully they will fix that.

It will be easier to keep the blade from trying to work out of the clamp if you remove the blade from the handle.
