Yes, needs to be in a roller case. I just installed those same new “V2” jawset on my gen3 vise. We’ll learn how we like the new jaws together.

My experience was they fit in after the 1500 grit diamond stones.
I believe there is a grit comparison chart under the “knowledge base” tab.
