You will get different answers from different people. Some like to raise a burr with every grit, some skip pulling a burr like every other grit. It is mainly to ensure that you are reaching the apex. Need to stick with the 100 grit until you raise a burr on each side. I would try to make sure to raise a burr on every other grit change.

That is exactly my intensions to raise the sharpener up off the base a little more, fat fingers I have maybe. Larger nuts on the micro adjustments should give more leverage to tighten a bit more, the left side of mind tends to back off sometimes, this should help with that. Thanks for the info & part #.
