Did you sharpen this knife? I have only sharpened one long knife, had to clamp in multiple locations. Take time in making sure you clamp in the proper locations to keep bevels even and blend the overlap slowly and carefully. The knife I did was not near that long. I have sharpened a dagger and I had to use blue tape to build up the clamping area.

Gerber Kettlebell, I picked it up for 21 bucks to leave in the wifes Jeep. Blade is 7Cr17MoV and it took a pretty good edge. Doesnt open and close as nice as more expensive knives but will be perfect to live in the door pocked of the Jeep.

I hope this doesn’t ruffle any feathers but I purchased another companies product. I was trying to rig up a way to wicked edge my axes and I saw this company had an ax sharpening system. It was mode expensive than I was willing to spend, but after looking into it they sell just the magnetic jig for just about 50 bucks. I was going to spend 50 at…[Read more]

Thats a 21 pound spatched bird on top and a bone in breast spatched on the bottom rack. I had to pull the wiongs off the top bird and put them on the lower rack to get it to fit. Egg full of birds done in less than 3 hours indirect at 325 degrees.

Spyderco K12
VG-10 Steel
Seki City, Japan
I sharpened to 11 DPS, my lowest angle ever. I should have taped more of the blade, some minor scuffing in one area due to angle. I got most of the scuff out with buffing wheel. Always learning.

here is my spydie tenacious in FDE. I used it as practice adding a sharpening choil before I play with my para2. I used a triangle file to start the notch and then used a small bit on my dremmel on slow speed to remove most of the metal. Then used DMT diamond file to finish up.

Thanks Marc, its funny how people here view an edge and what the word “sharp” really means. I have so many friends, family, and clients that I do knives for that if I stopped at the 600 grit stone the knife in question would be the sharpest thing they have ever held. I use a belt machine for my mass sharpening of cheesy store bought cutlery and…[Read more]

This is the first hand made(not by me) knife I have sharpened with my WE120. It came out nice but I did noticed that the looking directly at the edge from the bottom it is not in the middle of the ricasso. Like during grinding more meat was taken from one side than the other, this is not a super expensive knife. It took a little time to get the…[Read more]
