Gary if you’ve never used it, possible you can discuss with Wicked Edge if they’ll let you ship that one in to them for the modification.  That is the addition of the jaw tension adjuster if it can even be added to the older style vice.  The split jaws can be purchased as an add-on accessory.

Gary I’d be interested to see what results you get.  If you do it please share your experience.  I don’t know if there’s any real advantage to having the split jaws with-out the tension adjustment feature incorporated with the newer version vice.  I don’t see the split jaws really flexing unless I really clamp with a lot of pressure.  I don’t bel…[Read more]

Bob, I agree with “I wouldn’t bother with the Gen 1”, (i.e. WE100, Pro-Pack 1 or Field and Sport).  I believe the advantages of the Gen 2 do make it a far better, easier and more versatile version to use, especially for such a small price difference.  The Gen 2 includes: WE120 and the Pro-Pack 2.

Sorry to here of your injury Alden.  Keep the faith. Hopefully you’ll be in rehab soon with the physical/occupational Therapists.  Don’t keep your new WE GO a secret from them.  You may find using it could be a helpful part of your rehabilitation?  You never know.  The motion is gentle and repetitive like exercising.
