That’s for the Nanuk case, I’m inquiring about the Royal Case that comes with the sharpener if you buy it today.
05/21/2017 at 10:28 am #39283I guess I need to learn how to use the Internet. Thank you
04/30/2017 at 12:55 pm #38776A 24 degree inclusive bevel may be to steep to support such a carbide heavy steel. Cutting the apex off and then putting a 30-40 degree bevel micro on may help.

07/21/2016 at 1:42 pm #34650Sorry about that and thanks for the advice. Here is the product page from monoprice.
07/21/2016 at 12:25 pm #34647I guess I was hoping for a little incite. Has anyone used this scope or know anything about it?
07/05/2016 at 6:31 pm #34537So I think you have answered your own question. Gen 3 won’t work without accessory jaw. The Gen 2 pro pack 2 is the answer.
The Gen 3 is the one I bought but I do not have thicker knives like yours. I am very happy with the Gen 3 but I probably would have been happy with either version.
Either way if you change your mind after buying the Gen 2 you could get the Gen 3 replacement vice.
Good luck and I truly believe you will be happy either way.
07/05/2016 at 5:30 pm #34536Now it stays sharp a good amount of time time. Of course I needed to sell my wife on not putting them in the sink or dishwasher, EVER. These are just basic kitchen knives nothing special probably 420 hc so they will not hold an edge forever but touch up very quickly.
I went from 100 – 1000 diamonds then 1200-1600 ceramics. From 800 till 1600 I go fairly lightly. I think it gives a sharper edge. I didn’t bother stropping and don’t think I ever will for these knives.

07/04/2016 at 12:37 pm #34514I believe that 5mm is 3/16 if that is so then that would fit the standard gen 3 jaws. In fact 3/16 is 4.7625 mm so I’m not sure it would work.
07/04/2016 at 8:23 am #34509That’s awesome. I showed this to the wife and she wasn’t as excited about it as I was.
06/29/2016 at 1:48 am #34483This is good stuff. We sickos are a rare breed. It’s great to have a place to come and visit others with the same affliction. This is kind of like a leprosy colony for people with sharpening addictions.
06/11/2016 at 4:56 pm #34355I’m shocked it’s considered semi stainless with 1% chrome. D2 is at 12% chrome and is considered semi stainless.

05/31/2016 at 4:49 pm #34292This issue is over. I didn’t realize I was the first to purchase the Gen 3 on a granite base. WEPS has completely taken care of the issue and I have absolutely nothing negative to say.
The granite base does have one hole that’s off enough not to allow the bolt to slide through. They of course were willing to replace the granite but I have decided to go with the shelving unit.
The pin on the bottom of the clamp assembly that sits proud is normal and isn’t an issue at all with the shelving unit but is when used with the granite base. I’m sure this will be fixed on future gen 3’s that are going to be used with the granite. If I decide to mount it on a granite or wood base in the future I’ll just grind the pin even.

<span style=”line-height: 1.5;”>I’ve dealt with Kyle Kaplan from the order through now and have nothing but good to say about him because one of my faults is a lack of patience and he has handled it well. I would have mentioned Kyle in a private message to you but I can’t seem to figure out how to do that.
05/27/2016 at 3:10 pm #34258Pictures have been emailed to Kyle.
05/27/2016 at 3:04 pm #34257Please do give a call so we can sort it out. Pictures would definitely help.
I called and I guess Kyle wants the base and clamp assembly sent back. I guess they send me another when the parts come in. Please tell me this isn’t going to take another 7 weeks.
I have tried to send pictures but can’t attach jpg files. I can email them if you want. Just give me an email to send them to.
