11/05/2018 at 2:26 pm #48020In watching the YouTube video, wonder if the Chris Reeve Sebenza is also a clone. Like how he did not clean the blade between grits and the strop.

09/15/2018 at 6:45 am #47580I got my F&S Pro a couple of years ago and have not had any issues with it. I use it on kitchen knives, folders, and have even used it on hand pruners. Make sure you get an angle gauge. I also have the advance alignment guide, scissor attachment and 3.5 5 strops. WickedEdge drilled a hole in the paperstone base (not available now) so I could mount the sharpener on it. I have never used the c-clamp yet. The case is setup for what comes with the kit and has very little room for expansion. I picked up a Pelican style case from SAM’S, I can store the sharpener, base and the extras I have in it. with space for some expansion.

03/13/2018 at 5:09 pm #45521I ordered (12-16) a pre 2017 F&S Pro with a paperstone base and WickedEdge drilled it to fit the F&S Pro.

<h3 id=”using-the-digital-angle-gauge”><span id=”Using_the_Digital_Angle_Gauge” class=”mw-headline”>Using the Digital Angle Gauge</span></h3>
An angle cube allows one to set the angle EXACTLY.Here’s how:
- Set your knife in the sharpener and decide the angle (ie. 18 per side.)
- Put the angle cube on the base of the sharpener and zero it.
- Put the stone on the sharpening rod and set the pre-marked scale to 18 degrees.
- Lay the stone against the knife as if you were going to start sharpening
- Put the Angle Cube on the side of the sharpening stone that is not against the knife…..
- READ THE ANGLE. It probably will NOT be 18 (due to inherent differences in the height of each knife being sharpened.)
- Adjust the angle until it reads 18 on the Angle Cube
You now have a true 18 degrees.

11/05/2017 at 7:49 am #41935Got the new Scissor Attachment in a couple of days ago. Have not tried it yet but wanted to show it mounted in each position. I reset the Angle Gauge at each setting. The angles are shown only as an example (may vary with your vice). It looks like it will allow you to sharpen more types of scissors. Hope this helps showing the mounting and angles with the new Scissor Attachment.

10/28/2017 at 7:37 pm #41849Fuelboat, have you got any idea how the <spanstyle> tags got in some of your posts?
I had typed the message into Word and copied the text and pasted it into the message. Lesson learned!
I was working from a tablet with a small screen
10/26/2017 at 4:24 pm #41825There was nothing in the slot on mine either, the hex wrenches will fit but it’s hard to get them out.

10/26/2017 at 8:44 am #41819I was thinking of picking up a piece of 12×12 steel plate from a local welding shop. I got one for $10 a few years ago for another project. I will drill a hole and tap some threads so I can bolt the WE to the plate. I had not unpacked the Angle Gauge so I didn’t realize it was small enough to fit in the WE case. Thanks for that advice. What is the cutout in the foam that is shaped like a small tap wrench for?
<span style=”font-family: ‘Arial’,’sans-serif’;”><span style=”color: #000000;”>The mounting bolt is a 5/16-18 2” long that I had. The mounting bolt wrench was one that came with something that I purchased. I have a bad habit of keeping way too much stuff in hopes I may need it sometime. The wrench for the Micro Adjustment is a ‘Screwpop Tool’ with a 1/8” hex bit. Hope this helps.</span></span>

10/25/2017 at 6:09 pm #41808<span style=”color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;”>I got the Paperbase over the Granite because thought it would not break if it got dropped (have not dropped it yet). I wanted a way to mount the sharpener without using the C-clamp. When I ordered it, Wicked Edge drilled the hole for me to work with the sharpener. I cut out a section of the foam to store the Angle Gauge and Scissor Attachment.</span>

10/25/2017 at 2:00 pm #41804I have been using my F&S Pro for about a year now and very happy with it. I ordered the Paperstone base with mine. I picked up the Advanced Alignment Guide and the5/3.5 Micron Diamond and Leather Strops Pack when I was at The Blade Show in Atlanta. Got to meet Clay and Kyle and Clay sharpened my Sebenza 21 Unique Graphics for me.
I picked up some knives from the Goodwill store to practice and break-in the stones before I started on my knives.

04/25/2017 at 5:23 am #38652I have used ‘Evapo-Rust’ on a number of things with good results. I used it on a couple of knives I got at a yard sale and it cleaned them up pretty good, they were basic pocket knives. and then used WD-40 to lube them. They all came out good and gave them to a friend to sell at a flee market.
04/10/2017 at 4:02 pm #38304Spot on Mark76 I use mine on 40% of the knives that I do as well. Fuelboat, the attachment I use a lot as well, especially for pocket and thin blade knives that can be hard to clamp or that you don’t want to clamp because of potential damage, is the tormek small knife adapter. I use that attachment as much as the low angle adapter and sometimes with the low angle adapter. It’s around $35 at Tormek.com and works very well with the WEPS.
Will look at the Tormek items
