Not bad at all? Josh how the heck or you? I’ve been very busy around the range. We just hosted a regional and then just a lot of everyday busy stuff? You know? When you have a chance lets get caught up!
Ttyl my friend!
Eamon11/06/2014 at 1:02 am #21148Hi and welcome!
I have a delica zdp189 and I am amazed with it retention abilities! I like TC never considered lower then 20°? I believe a edc should have some meat behind the edge, not know how hard I’m going to work it?
I would like to hear your results though if you decide to try it?
Have fun!!!
Eamon10/21/2014 at 7:48 am #20972I could never praise Bob well enough for all of the outstanding customer service he has given me! I could never even dream of doing any Wicked Edge business without having consented with Bob first. Bob goes beyond the call of duty every time!!!
08/31/2014 at 9:03 am #20147Hi TCMEYER,
Thanks again for all the info on this link! I sent you a private message a while ago. I wonder if perhaps you didn’t receive it and therefore am cluttering up this thread with a public/private message asking if you did. Sorry if I’m not using the forum correctly by doing this. If I am, anyone reading this: please feel free to tell me to: DESIST 🙂
Gus,
Welcome to the forum! How are you going to figure this thing out if ya don’t ask questions?? I would say your safe to ask away around here. Everyone is always real eager to help the next guy coming along.
It looks like things may have got confused with your PM? TCMEYER is always willing to help. I would wait as he should be along soon and will see this.
Good luck with your WE and remember to always have fun!08/16/2014 at 8:17 pm #19965Welcome, try to remember to have fun! Sometimes we get so caught up? We forget to have fun? 😆

07/31/2014 at 8:34 am #19655Welcome to the forum! Your going to do just fine if knife five is looking good. I echo Josh and say get just a little bit better then charge all the “guys” for the knives. Then there can be more mods for you :woohoo: Remember just keep asking questions. We have all asked them at one time or anther? You’ll go from one level to the next. Also remember to just have fun!!! :cheer:

07/27/2014 at 11:08 am #19590Hi Can,
Welcome to the forum. Hope this is your last fix? lol Customer service just does not get any better then Clay and crew!!! No worries your new toy if far from wrecked! They will have you running in no time!05/18/2014 at 10:14 am #18801Fist off welcome to the forum and the rabbit hole! Now what I would do is think about what Leo said? His question is the biggest part of the equation? Cause the answer is “it depends?” on what you want to achieve?
Now onward your question on the grit chart is a great question! It is very confusing to look at and try to make it all make sense?
The thing is? Your mediums that you grind/hone with all leave a different surface then each other. Even though the microns might add up the “texture” of the steel will be different. So you really can not go by the chart itself. Think of in terms of polishing? Would you use a diamond to polish or would you use leather? The answer is both. Just the leather, and balsa are going to grind/hone softer and shine brighter.
Do you need the 1200/1600 it depends? All I can say is I use mine all the time! Hope this helped a little? But most off have fun!!!05/18/2014 at 9:40 am #18800I am late to the conversation. But could not agree with Leo more!! Learn the tool first, then buy all the goodies! I did not really follow that advice but it is great advice!
Within a month I had bought the chosera’s and on to the ceramics. Since my purchase Pro pack 1? I am on my second set of diamonds, need new low grit chosera’s ect…
My point being I did not need any of it to get great edges for my EDC knives! In fact Leo is right as you will hear Josh say too, you need the diamonds for a good toothy edge to really cut everyday stuff. Yes the chrome like edges are great. :woohoo: Real show stoppers and all your friends will be totally amazed!! 😉 My friends think I know what I’m doing? HA HA LOL!! It is the system!!! (well maybe a little bit?)
The thing is you do not need anything outside of Pro Pack 1. Period! The rest is just gravy and feeding our OCD. 😛 (But lets face it if you did not have OCD you would never have bought the system in the first place )
So sit back and sharpen knives till your hear is content! One day you will say to yourself, hey I didn’t have to think about it and I was not worried if I was going to slow? Slow down, relax and just have fun! B)05/14/2014 at 1:22 am #18708Nice/beautiful work Leo!!!
05/14/2014 at 1:18 am #18707You make us all proud!! Great work!!
