Unfortunately in today’s world when you create a product that is second to none it’s probably inevitable that something like that will happen eventually. I for one am glad to see you expose it for what it is. An attempted copy of a top rated product.

10/18/2017 at 7:10 pm #4170508/30/2017 at 7:26 pm #41001I agree Peter. I’ve been watching the WE store for weeks now while thinking about adding the scissor attachment to my arsenal but it’s been ” out of stock” . I’m hoping the delay in “restocking” is because of some redesign issues being worked out. I’m anxious to see what they come up with (and excited to purchase one) if in-fact they are “fixing” some of the concerns that have been voiced. Hopefully WE personnel are monitoring this and can give an update on their plans for the scissor attachment. One thing I can attest to (from personal past experience) is that their customer service and response is superb.

Shaner, I’m a little south of you down here in Spanish Fork (Utah County). Great work and beautiful photo’s. I’ve had my WE PP2 for a couple of years now but don’t get to sharpening as often as I’d like so I’m still trying to get to the level it looks like you are to already. Great mirror finishes on your custom and the Harbor Freight cheapy. I’d love to stop by your shop some Saturday afternoon and see your knives and setup. Some beautiful work you’ve got there. I’m also interested in Mark76 quetion about the stone progression you used.
04/26/2017 at 7:16 pm #38680Great pictures but what it the attachment called, how is it attached to the jaws and do you have a link to order one?
03/21/2017 at 7:15 pm #37876I agree with organic. Tuffy, I love to watch your videos but I was looking forward to seeing the Shun after you’d finished it. Along with a comment on how long it took to do it. Also, did you do all the work on the Shun with the WE?
11/23/2016 at 6:16 pm #35968This is why I love this forum and the great people on it. Always quick and very helpful information. Ill be ordering some of this stuff tonight and start my look for an old unused computer/monitor. Thanks to you all and have a great Thanksgiving.
01/16/2016 at 1:38 pm #30660I concede. I made up a couple of mock guides. With solid lines and multi-color lines. The solid line was much easier to read. Multi color was just to messy.

01/15/2016 at 6:52 pm #30652actually meant the blade going across lines (angles) on the square grid.
01/15/2016 at 6:47 pm #30651I like ET’s suggestion of alternate colors on the grid to help us keep things straight. With lines going on angles it could lead to visually jumping lines. Great thread, good discussion. I believe the guide will be very helpful.
12/31/2015 at 4:31 pm #30174I hate to be “that guy” but in this case I am. I spend hours reading and researching on this forum weekly. Have done so since obtaining a PP2 a couple of years ago. Still do so, although I struggle with this new forum format. But I love this stuff and will keep struggling along. Example: If I produced an edge I thought was good enough to put on the forum (photo) , I couldn’t do it anyway because it just seems just confusing enough that I’m discouraged to try to do so ( beside the extra high quality equipment it seems like it will take to produce them). Although I feel I’m limited to the point that I have nothing new, interesting, informative or noteworthy to add to the forum I find it an amazing forum, thanks to you who are so knowledgeable, experienced and unselfishly willing to share. Most questions I have had have been previously discussed on the forum and I don’t want to be redundant so I just read, read, re-read the forum. Anyway, please don’t feel your time and effort on this forum is a waste because I tend to feel there are many like myself that spend a lot of time on this forum benefiting from you exerts and am very grateful to you all. So my new year resolution is to try to contribute and not just receive all the time. Again, thanks to “you all” experts.

12/02/2015 at 8:25 pm #29629How do I send a PM on this new format? Could do them on the old format but have been trying to figure it out on the “WordPress” without success. Sure it’s simple but I haven’t got it yet. Thanks for any help.
09/10/2015 at 5:51 am #28821Josh, I’m hoping you may have some experience with the following issue and some suggestions/ advise. After seeing this mod a year or so ago I purchased one at Harbor Freight and attached it the my PP2. It worked quite well. BUT, it then sat dormant for a couple of months. When I went to use it again I could not get the suction to stick to a surface. The only surface I have only had it attached to (when it worked) is the granite base that came with the PP2 package. Here’ s what I’ve tried: cleaning the granite, cleaning the suction (rubber) cup, rotating the handle both directions, made sure the suction cup was lined up with the base (fit inside the metal lips on the base). I can not get it to hold to a smooth (or any) surface.. Any ideas anyone?
03/05/2015 at 3:45 am #24101I emailed that question to WE two days ago. They have 10 and 12 inch but you have to call WE to order them.
