I have been drooling those stainless steel Micro-Angle adjuster locking Mods for the Gen 3 Pro. I even tried to buy the parts from McMaster, but it does not give any shipping price.
If tcmeyer, Ed k or anyone ever decide to still make them I would buy one set in a heart beat.

Just ordered the DXL-360S. I have been using the iGaging AngleCube, but the 0.2 accuracy and 0.05 resolution slowly drives me crazy. Probably more on the mental side since I’m happy with the end result.

They are manufactured from natural sheep’s wool with cellulose wool and are used for cleaning, oiling and degreasing.
Slip one or two felt pellets on the cleaning rod vfg adapter, apply your favorite solvent and push through the bore or scrub to take out the dirt.

I use VFG cleaning pellets wit my rifles and they seem to clean the paddle holes pretty good too.
The link below is just an example. I have not bought anything from there.

+1 If the knife is in really bad shape or needs a lot of re-profiling…. I will still take my Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition and do the initial work with it. Of course I will put it back to the dark closet after that so that no one sees it 😀

Today I got my new 1500/2200 and 3000/Glass -stones directly from Wicked Edge. Tried to put some clear coat on top of the 1500/2200 numbers but it did not work with these. The clear coat dissolved the numbers. Just a warning. It did work with the older stones that came with my Gen 3 Pro.
Time to pull out my label printer.

I had this grit numbers flaking off issue after only 5 sharpening sessions. Today I added some clear coat on top of the flat areas where the numbers are. Hopefully they stay a bit longer now.

Thank you! I guess it is just the number at the moment. Next year I turn 40. On the other hand my father is still working at the age of 70 and has no short term plans for retirement since he likes the work that he does.

Hi,
New WE Gen 3 Pro owner here.
I have done knife sharpening since I was about 13 years old. It was the time when I started hunting. Numerous sharping methods and 26 years later (I feel like I’m getting old) I started looking what would be the right system for me. When I first saw the WE products I thought they were too expensive. Couple of…[Read more]
