I experienced many years ago with an older version standard vise. The cool pulled when I removed the screw.
If you submit a ticket with WE support, I’m sure they’ll replace your older vise with the current version.

Marc H replied to the topic Larger Right Bevel in the forum Techniques and Sharpening Strategies 5 months, 2 weeks ago
It depends on the knife along with the situation.
For instance, a knife that is ground to be an “uneven grind” does have a centered knife edge. All of my right-handed, RH 70/30 Japanese knives have slightly different shaped primary grinds on each side of the knife, along with uneven bevel heights. But the bevel angles are similar. (Since many are…[Read more]

Sorry for jumping in here without reading the previous posts (TLDR), but I have the following to share:
Uneven bevels usually mean that the apex is off-center, assuming that the angles are the same, although I’ve seen it knives I ground rather badly, where the flats are not truly flat.
To correct the differences, simply take more strokes on the…[Read more]

The slickest method I’ve used in the past is isopropyl alcohol with a battery-powered scrubber.
The fact is that I haven’t cleaned my diamond stones in years. The swarf simply does not accumulate to the point where it’s a problem. But I don’t use my sharpener on the dining room table, like some users.

A bigger reason may be that the factories don’t want to taper the tip to match the primary grinds, as it would leave the tip subject to breakage. The wider bevel doesn’t mean necessarily that the angle is more obtuse. Trying to find a sweet spot that gives you a constant bevel width at the tip will drive you nuts, unless it’s a very thin b…[Read more]

This is what Tom Blodget responded. He produced that video. I just linked him your forum original post.
“ok, so the only real way to get the inside of the scoop is to getthe stone inside. Your’e looking at a rod of sorts with sandpaper or film. The bevel on the rest of the knife should be straight forward. It can get weird if its a scandi…[Read more]

Marc H replied to the topic Anyone selling a gen4 pro case? in the forum Want to Buy 8 months ago
I believe they may have customized previous model cases they sold. Original idea was the case was shipping crate but very large and expensive shipping.
I believe my G4P pedestal model came in an adapted case for that reason.

Different usable cases are easy to source. But, since the G4P is a new model, that is offered in different options/configurations, you will probably need to customize the foam insert yourself. There are different foam sources that can be used and customized to your needs. Good luck.
