I modified an old Lansky clamp so I could use it as a low angle adapter. I can easily get angles lower than 15 degrees on my stockman or other small pocket knives. Very easy to do and very cheap as well.

01/13/2021 at 4:50 am #55760If your holding the knife in the position to cut and blade is sharpened on the right side is that a right hand knife or left hand?
That would be a left handed knife.

11/30/2020 at 5:15 am #55324We’re currently working on a new design for the jaws to solve the issue
Perhaps you should look at the V-shape solution that Work Sharp uses in their new Precision Adjust system which centers and holds the spine of the knife when clamped in the jaws.

11/21/2019 at 2:59 am #52592Michael, how long ago did you purchase the 1500 grit stone? Is it a couple years ago or is it just recently, this year. What color is the plastic paddle and the center finger grips the 1500 diamond grit stone is mounted on?
I was also thinking about buying the 2200/3000 so I have the same question.
My 1500 stones are bought +/- 2 years ago. The 1500 stone is mounted on a green paddle and the center grips are black.Frans

08/23/2017 at 11:33 am #40801Thanks Frans. Did you ever try the LAA from WE or is this post theoretical?
No, I did not try the LAA as it costs €118.- (US$139,-) here in the Netherlands. This is of course not the fault of WE but in my opinion it is a ridiculous price.
https://www.knivesandtools.nl/nl/pt/-wicked-edge-low-angle-adapter.htm
Besides that, by looking at the photos and Youtube videos of the LAA, I am pretty sure that it is developed to get a lower angle on larger (wider) knives and still not very suitable for SAK style knives.

01/12/2017 at 6:02 pm #36654Welcome and have fun, as a fellow Dutch member, I can fully recommend the Wicked Edge.
12/29/2016 at 8:54 am #36354I have no experience with the WiFi microscopes but I do use other WiFi (dashcam and 360 degrees) cameras with my phone and that works well.
I do use one of those cheap USB microscopes with my phone, using a cheap OTG adapter so if your phone supports OTG which most newer phones do, that might be an option for you as well.
The OTG adapters are less than 1 USD for 3 on eBay and that inlcudes shipping.

12/24/2016 at 6:04 am #36274I have just received the replacement stones. It took a while for them to arrive but I could not have been happier. They fit of the handles on the rods is perfect and I love the 1500 grit stones and look forward to give them a try.
Clay, Kyle and the rest of the team, thanks for the perfect service and have a wonderful Christmas.

11/27/2016 at 8:11 am #36035I guess I could order some 6K polish paper, provided they don’t ask crazy shipping prices for Europe.
Mark, you can just as easily buy them in the Netherlands at knives & tools or http://www.messen.nl/edge-pro-6000-grit-polish-tape.html
11/24/2016 at 8:57 am #35984That is certainly interesting news, where have you read about it? I can’t find anything.
11/03/2016 at 1:58 pm #35696Nice, congratulations.
11/03/2016 at 6:40 am #35687…but I still believe that quality control can be improved.
No argument there. It’s premature to announce anything, but we’ve taken some huge steps in the last few months with our supply/manufacturing chain and we should see much fewer issues with QC. In the next few months we will be able to announce the changes but for now, I am comfortable saying that I’m really excited about where things are headed.
That sounds very good, looking forward to the announcements.
