Thanks guys. Top is a dpx. Not sure about the folder. I’m sending all of his knives back out today. I’ll ask him in the email.

    It has this mark

Hmmm. Not familiar with the mark. Beautiful knife either way! How does it feel in hand with the dual tip-up pocket clips?… Just curious. :side:

    Dan,

I hope you don’t mind me sharing this. It just seems appropriate since you chose to share the pic with us. Along with pretty much everyone here, I definitely enjoy watching people sharpen knives (WE &/or freehand) and seeing the final results.

    Thanks for the video man!

    Nice looking edge Josh.

    Steven-
I don’t care man. Maybe would have spent more time making the video. Fyi..The “shut up dog” song is a number 1 hit in 14 different countries. The unauthorized reproduction or distribution of the “shut up dog” song is illegal. Nah, it’s good stuff man! I love your videos. And the “shut up dog” part at the end is priceless 🙂

Does anyone have great pictures of kitchen knives they’ve sharpened?

This knife was gifted to be about 2 weeks ago, and Im literally JUST NOW finishing the overhaul. It was in pretty bad shape – Needed substantial thinning behind the edge, it was bent, twisted, dull, rusting, etc…It took some work.

It’s hard to see the polish due to the fact edge itself is only about 1 mil wide (thank to Leo for helping me understand why that should be the case!). This makes catching light fairly difficult. And there’s a possibility these shots aren’t worthy of being on this particular thread.

All things considered, I’m happy to say it started popping hairs after 3.5 micron on balsa, so I guess I did an ok job this go-round. We’ll see how it performs with the hair test after .5 micron on leather… That’s why it’s still mounted on the WE.

    Thank you kindly as always!

    ~Steven

I am calling Shenanniganananannananas. Send that puppy to me for proper evaluation, it should take 4-5 years. 😛

Steven: I agree with DSGrouse, your rig is eye-popping cool. Did you make those micro-adjust knobs/wrenches or are they available somewhere on the ‘net?

Florescent chartreuse! Wheeee! Is it real, or is it photoshopped? :cheer: There seems to be no edge definition in the chartreuse areas of the photos, suggesting they were washed out with the file compression. Or what?
