Mine is not nearly as nice as many of these but this is a short video of finished product of my Mini Griptillian with D2 steel. It was a mirror edge but a smaller one because of how small the knife is. To this day it still has a hair shaving edge & was 4 months ago. I use the knife also. Facebook video.  I did this with the field & sport Pro.   https://www.facebook.com/roger.brown.54379/videos/10216216760874609/

Paramilitary 2 sharpened last night. First time I have ever held this knife, it feels nice in the hand.

This shows how impressive the wicked edge system is. I took this cheap $5-$7 survival knife & re profiled this & got a nice mirror image & would never guess it is only a $5-$7 knife. I bought it this last spring at a gun & knife show in Birch Run Michigan.  Progression was 200/400/600/800/1000/1500 diamond grit then 1200/1600 ceramic 6 micron lapping film then finally 5/3.5 micron strops. Did this with the Field & sport pro.  Before & After photos

For some reason it is not allowing to download photos. I will try one more time.  This is a cheap knife only  cost like $7. My progression was 100 trhu 1500 diamond grit then 1200/1600 ceramic then 6 micron lapping film then leather strop 5/3.5 micron. Did this on the Field & sport pro. I would have had same result with me wicked edge go.

Just picked up this $1.95 kitchen knife, from my local thrift store.  I need practice knives, as I’m very new to WE.  I did form a new bevel on the Tormek, because the edge was obliterated.  It’s a 20 dps.  It’s not scratch free, but it does whittle hair all along the edge…

Tried to edit my last post, but all it showed me was a blank page.  Anyways, I hit the edge with 6 and 3 micron films, then stropped again.  I sure helped with the scratches, although I’m not sure if it shows in this revised pic…

Cheap $5-$7 knife I bought at gun & knife show. Wanted to see if I could put a mirror finish on it. 20 degree angle progression was 200/600/800/1000/1500 diamond grit 1200/1600 ceramic 6 micron lapping film then finished with 5/3.5 micron leather strops. This cheap knife now looks expensive.
