I have the Gen 3 Pro and the low angle attachment jaws, and I used it to sharpen my Benchmade 940 just fine. It basically raises the knife higher so the stones don’t hit the jaws. I like the idea of using your glasses as a knife holder.

That is a pretty cool shot! It was probably harder to put that together, than it was sharpening the knife. At least it would for me.

I sharpened up a couple of more pocket knives. My old Kershaw, and my work knife, the Buck. I got the mirror polish on both of them with the same lapping film I used for the first knife. I used the 6 micron Diamond Lapping strip, and then the two strops that come in the Pro Pack III.

I had the same problem as Airscapes. I have to zero it with the magnet sideways in order to read the angle correctly, but then it only reads one angle correctly. For the other stone, I have to flip the angle cube with the face away from me so I can read the correct angle. It is kind of a pain to do it that way, but I don’t have to do any math. It…[Read more]
