Are the riser blocks homemade or are you getting them from Wicked Edge or someone else?

Thanks for the insight as I had this occur on my test knife when I first started and couldn’t figure out what the hell I did…I use wine corks cut in various sizes, (thickness) to serve as a standoff.

Looks great…what lapping strips did you use?

Sent mine in…hope you report on the results.

I’ll give them a shout next week as I’m sure they’ll help me figure out what’s going on. I agree it seems like it may be a bad batch. The difference in the feeling between the 4 and 2m strops are significant. The 4m feels and sounds gritty on the leather and the 2m feels like butter. I’m have the same issue with the 4m. I’ve been shaking the hell out of the bottle but it’s still the same watery solution.

Has anyone tried using a wine cork? I use them and they seems to work perfectly.
