I have the blue base and the ballbearing rods that use allen keys to adjust. I am out of town so no pics.

Where in Michigan are you? I am in Bay City. Be aware that your first couple knives the stones will be breaking in and not sharpen as well as they will later.

so would it be worth it for me to purchase the super fine stones to use before the microfine?  Another question about stropping. I cut up my strops not realizing I was arcing downward.  Would the strops with the 1.5 and .5 microns be the same as the micro fine ceramics?

so if I have the same angle on each side I should be ok?  I had both sides set at 20 degrees and seem to get more metal off the right side. It must be my technique or I need to change my angle to about a 1/2 degree or 1 degree less, compared to the left side?

Would the suction cup base work with the marble base on WE or will it wobble too much?

What is the round laser tool used for measuring the angle called and where can I get one or how can I make one?
