Great post on Bladeforums, Josh! The results are indeed a bit confusing… (And great picture of course 🙂 .)

Great job on the mirror edge lwaller1980!

    Josh:

I’ve been cogitating on the strange results you were getting on the Bessy sharpness tester. I suspect it’s just another case of stiction, so I’ve got a suggestion: put a very fine application of oil on the bevels.

I read in a book recently that the oil that exudes from the pores on the side of your nose is used by old-time watchmakers to lube the axles in fine watches. In case you want to try something weird. Wipe your finger down the side of your nose, then wipe your finger along the bevels.

Josh, didn’t the customer want a sharpening choil on his Spyderco? I love the one you made on my Kershaw Blur!

(Sorry for the crappy phone pic.)

    Hey Guys
I have had this system a couple months now and this is my cleanest blade to date. Skinned out a Deer with ease! I’m definately addicted to this thing. You learn something a little new with every knife and my technique is continuing to improve. Just wanted to share this because it makes you proud! I’m sure you guys already know this

Good for you mate! Tell us about the deer…where, when, a story, but short! LOL! The more you use the WEPS, the better your edges will be. Experience is the best teacher as they say!
    Well done!

It’s good to see you posting again. Have I just missed your inputs, or have you been off slaying dragons elsewhere??

ZT 0300 I worked on this weekend. 20 degrees per side, I can’t help but smile every time I pull this one out.

Beautiful job on a very nice knife! I do agree 20 degrees is perfect for a heavy use knife!
