Wow, I am extremely sad to hear this news. Mark has grown into a good friend over the years and I have gotten knives for him and shipped them to him in the Netherlands a few times. Yes it will eventually draw a burr (once it’s apexed) , you can keep going or adjust it to the rear like Clay suggested which will increase the angle at the tip and allow it to apex sooner.

In use I doubt you will find it to be an issue until you get to the higher grit stones.

That’s sweet. Can’t say I haven’t thought about Wicked Edge coming up w/ a premium “reprofile paddle” that would use something like this to do the heavy work at the same angle as your other stones, then you could switch real quick and finish on the stones.
