Wow, I am extremely sad to hear this news. Mark has grown into a good friend over the years and I have gotten knives for him and shipped them to him in the Netherlands a few times. He was always super helpful here on the forums – very kind, and always trying to make others feel welcome. This is a good reminder to me to get my priorities right, so many times I’m working so much I forget to place the importance of my time where it should be. Rest in peace my friend, you are already missed.

I just got my basic unit at Christmas. I have learned so much from Mark just by reading posts. He WILL be greatly missed. Bless your family.

Just happened to see the news and I am saddened. There are few sharpeners in the world, fewer for those who are open to technology and science and willing to share, and even fewer are doing that with an open heart and kindness.
