I would not call the WE130 a toy. It is a serious sharpening system. If I thought of it as a toy, I probably would lose a couple of fingers.

Oh, ok. Thanks for the concern. I am just tapped out this month because I bought a Pro Pack III that should be here tomorrow. (Yes!!) I should be fine next month.

Have you checked the “knowledge database” to see if your knife is in there? Maybe another WE customer has already found the “sweet spot” for you.

I think some of the steel in them are harder than usual. The stones in my Hall’s Pro Edge Wet Hone would not even scratch the steel in my Buck 301X pocket knife. And my diamond stones barely would.

Where did you find those Doug P Airscapes Stone Stops and stuff? This is the first time that I have heard of them. Sorry to hear that you want to sell your WE.

Do you mean that it is for putting a hollow grind on a blade? Or do you mean for putting a convex edge on a blade?

Are you trying to get a burr with every stone? That is how I understood your first post. You only need to get your burrs with the first stone. Your edge will be good after that. Then you start alternating from side to side to hone and polish your edge as you progress through the rest of your stones and then strops. That if I understood you correctly.
