My knife is so sharp it can cut a snowflake in half….sideways.

My knife is so sharp I pointed it at a whole young chicken and its breasts fell off into fillets and the wings grilled themselves

Working to make knife.wickededgeusa.com a great forum!

My knife is so sharp, I cut a piece of ham so thin, I could see both sides at the same time.

My favorite kitchen knife is so sharp, it cut my finger when I was in the bedroom.

This is a quote from that Game of Thrones “Night’s Watch” recruit-acquiring character in one of the early episodes, but “I could shave a spider’s ass with this blade.”    Not to suggest that I’m presently going insane while watching GoT reruns while under WuFlu lockdown or anything like that……….

My knives are so sharp they called me to borrow one to use in the Large Hadron Collider in Geneva Switzerland to split sub-atomic particles.

Hmm, tomorrow I will check Verhoeven’s electron microscope (EM) disertations on the measured width of an apex. It can only approach 0. The limit interests me. The question might be what can you cut twice or more. The tip of an EM probe is supposedly one atom in diameter. Thought provoking for sure for us amateur material scientists.

Thanks to Mr Wizard for the image of what appears to be a Japanese hand plane cutting really, really thin shavings.  They actually have competitions over there.  It’s amazing to watch a continuous ribbon flowing out of the plane as it’s pushed (or pulled) along the wood plank.  I always wonder what sort of wood they use that would slice so thinly.
