Here’s a video by a YouTube knife sharpener who really knows his stuff. Although the comments are specifically addressing the use of EdgePro systems, many of his comments are relevant to sharpening on a WE. He breaks down some of the common mistakes that people with limited experience are likely to make and how to avoid them.

I just got my Benchmade 940-1501 (CPM-20CV and blue G-10; pretty) back from ApostleP. He did the choil mod to accommodate the location of the plunge grind, which I didn’t know about until I’d watched this video. 4 week turnaround, beautiful edge.

My ProPack III arrives later this week; it’l be a while before the stones (and I) are ready to work on anything this nice.

I do enjoy the ApostleP’s videos. He brings a wealth of knowledge and a critical eye to each knife he reviews. I also appreciate that he never tears anyone down with his opinions, he just gives it to you straight.
