I thanks Marc. That answered a good portion of what I needed. I should have mentioned that I was also looking for a sharpening angle to achieve both a good and sharp edge

I’ve been using my Roselli for my fishing knife and it’s almost time to try to put an edge (new?) with my WE130 and a good assortment of stones. I’ve never sharpened a scandal grind with anywhere near the steel hardness that this has (65 to 66). Any guidance would be appreciated.

I had a full set of Wicked Edge stones, chosera, and leather before a fire destroyed everything. I rebuilt with a WE130 set plus 1500/6, 3/1.5, and 1.0/0.5 diamond lapping. That’s the video, and angle, I was asking about. I have the scissor attachment on order and was trying to get a jump on the process. It looks like it should be fairly easy to establish the angle using the WE130 and the attachment.

snyone know the best angle for Shun kitchen scissors? I’ll be trying the felt tip, but wonder what the preferred angle is since I don’t want to go too fine.

I used an expanded earlier version of Pro-Pack II for at least 5 years until my home burnt to the ground. The unit was in the portion of the basement that was heavily watered by the fire department and the granite base survived. All of my knives were lost except a new Hinderer, which miraculously survived.
