Marc H (Wicked Edge Expert Corner) replied to the topic Diamond stone break in in the forum Main Forum 2 days, 21 hours ago
Try to look at the break-in differently. You are figuring or using a counting method that will mechanically get the stones broken in with time and effort. What I suggest is you pay attention to the stone’s feel, of each grit, grit by grit, as you use them. Use the break-in time to familiarize yourself with how the stones feel new as compared to…[Read more]

The W.E. loupe is a lighted magnifying glass similar to one used b stamp collectors. I does what it’s supposed to do.
There are better, more powerful magnification, lighted instruments to use. I prefer to work with a digital USB Microscope.
I use the microscope to inspect every aspect of my sharpening/polishing regimen. (The scope can be u…[Read more]

The precision and accuracy is there. It’s for you to utilize. I see +/-0.03º with due diligence, effort and attention to details. It’s more work than is needed to achieve a very nicely sharpened knife. The precision will allow you to go as far as you want to, to explore “how sharp is sharp”
BTW: David N., Those diamond stones improve with br…[Read more]

The Dual-Cam vise, included with the Gen 4 Pros and WE66s, clamps and holds very well. Since I sharpen mostly full-size chef’s knives, I do always work with a Stabil-Rizer Clamping System Accessory on all my WEPS setups. This is for added rigidity, and lateral or rotational stability.
The Microangle adjusters allow you to utilize the full…[Read more]

Welcome to the W.E. Forum Lee.
First, Micro-Angle adjusters are necessary in my experiences to allow you to precisely match bevels angles as applied by the knife maker. The G4P model without the micro-adjusters will not give you the selective predictable, precision control of all your angle settings.
The WE66 and the Gen 4 Pr0 will allow for…[Read more]

Marc H (Wicked Edge Expert Corner) replied to the topic Upgrade WE60 Vise in the forum Main Forum 1 month, 2 weeks ago
WE has not made the Dual-Cam vises available, yet. The WE60 would require an adapter to use that Dual-Cam vise because the mount or base is different with those models; WE64 & WE66. I suspect W.E. is developing an upgrade option now that we’ll see in the future.

The Wicked Edge Precision Sharpening Systems are a guided sharpening system that uses angled sharpening stones. It is not a belt type automated sharpening setup.
The WE has a scissor adapter and a chisel attachment, accessories. The WE was not designed nor is it intended to use on larger blades and power tool blades, or chain saw blades.
