Yeah I think I did my two in the pic at 20
The Mcusta chips at anything less.
I need to get some better steel 🙂
Jdee05/29/2012 at 11:59 pm #3365Cool Pic 🙂
I like the SOG Aegis because it sharpens up so easy.
Makes a great everyday work knife.
That FNP is nice 😉
Jdee05/25/2012 at 5:01 pm #3322Yes I did them with “cactus juice” and black dye.
I have a large vacuum chamber I found on ebay years ago for mold making but
I never use it. It was to big and slow.
Seen a video on youtube for the cactus juice
for wood and tried it, very cool stuff.
the dye goes into the soft parts of the wood
and looks really neat.
Now I got to find some cool stock…
Jdee05/25/2012 at 12:17 pm #3315I would love to have a Sig P938 but the G23 is a monster it just works.
Love it, snappy though… but a cool night stand gun. It stays haha
Love my thug and bug haha…..
Jdee04/14/2012 at 2:25 am #2758I think I just needed more time to get past a corroded layer and hit better stuff.
I also had to tweak the resin piece I made the knife was not setting straight enough.
I need a Cube 😆 soon….
JdeeI love my old SOG 😛
04/13/2012 at 7:06 am #2750I ended up taking it down aways with 50 grit stones.
It came up ok for the kind of blade it was not bad.
I think I got by lots of the bad stuff.
JdeeAttachments:04/13/2012 at 5:52 am #2739I did have to sand the dome down.
I think Solarez might be better.

I used this cool little sander.

You can get different resins, you would probable use one that cures with a black light.
Some types like I used use an expensive high output light.
These guys have some different types.

Jdee04/13/2012 at 4:33 am #273002/29/2012 at 10:58 am #1806I used 17 to start than a 20 degree angle , I use the knife for cardboard and Craft paper everyday.
Sharpen it up each weekend with just the 20 angle for touch up. so far so good.
Nothing fancy that’s for sure 🙂
It sure is nice having such a sharp work knife that really works and knowing
a little time on the Vise and I’m back to a super edge.
And an inexpensive knife to boot.
I’m really glad I spent $$$ on the WEPS system
and not on a High End super steel knife I could never sharpen once it lost its edge 😛
Not that I don’t like great Knifes 😛
