Looks good! Thanks for sharing! Did you micro-bevel at all or just leave it with the high polish and low angle?

no mirco bevel. the 0301 and 0350 were set using the marks on the guides. at 15degrees. I got my angle cube before I did the 0560. i figured the s30v and elmax are super steels so that can handle it.

This answered a question I have had about recurve blades. Looks like your bevel stayed even on the recurve.

the angle cube said 14deg.

Have you tried foam tape? The white “puffy” tape that some use for posters.

What about sticking the tape to the vice? Would this keep the tape in place better?

This was the first knife i sharpened for some one else. A double bladed buck 303. What a pain it was. The other blade was shorter but the same height.

Thanks for all the replys. I guess I will be geting the stons first. I will get the arms at a later point.

As for a belt sander, I would eventually like to get a 2×72 as I would like to modify some knives I have.

I would like to go higher strop for my self mostly. But that option to a customer will always be good.

I would like to get the micro ceramics as well. Eventually I will have every stone and strop available but it will be a while for that.
