Yikes!!!  Definitely some lessons to be learned from the experiences.    Great idea on the folded towel.  We don’t have any fleas running around but a towel over the blade would be smart.

I keep my stones upright, on a series of pins along the far wall, so I have to reach past the vise to retrieve them or put them away.  At first, they were organized with ascending grits, going left to right, which required me to reach around the far end of the vise.  Them someone suggested arranging them symmetrically, with the lowest grits outboard, to the highest grits inboard.  I still have to reach past the vise, but I don’t have to reach around it.  Whoever it was, thanks mucho!
