Thank you,
Tom

Yes I bought the Plugable 2MP. It works good, and I did look find blue tooth scopes but the price was very high. http://www.ebay.com/itm/200X-USB-8-LED-Portable-HD-Wifi-Wireless-Digital-Microscope-for-IOS-Android/172413399150?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D40804%26meid%3D4a6abf616677443797b7fb6676de1f74%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D311743783827

Your link shows a resolution of 0.3Mp, which is 640 X 480. Did I miss something?
Tom too.

That’s for the wireless model, not the one he bought. I think this is the one he bought.
01/25/2017 at 4:52 pm #36908I’ve been using this Plugable Model for over a year now and like it very much. I set the brightness where I like it best and the focus to high power and wrapped tape over the knobs so I don’t bump them and just leave them be. I set the software resolution to 600 X 800. Then with the scope end resting against the area of the clamped knife blade I want to view and slightly tilt it in and out, to barely changing the focal length, it gets a quick sharply focused image. I never mess with the adjustments at all. Just take a photo by lightly touching the back end. This image size with this resolution is as large and as much detail as I ever need. Especially set to full screen on my Windows mini laptop 2 in 1.
The Pluggable above is exactly the same unit with exactly the same software just with a different brand name as this Carson:I’ve purchased several other USB Microscopes with better specs and more bells and whistles and keep going back to using these two because they don’t take constant adjusting.I did use the pluggable with my Android Galaxy 5 phone before I bought the little laptop. The specs on both say it’s MAC iOS compatible for 10.0, I don’t know about iPads since it says not compatible with tablets. I couldn’t use it with an older model Samsung Android Tablet.Hope this helps someone,MarcMarc

driwash2 and Mikeyv were wondering if it would work with an iPad. Is the apple you speak of an iPad?

(MarcH's Rack-Its)01/26/2017 at 2:03 pm #36936Thats a good question! I have the little I box thing a ma jig. It uses an USB port. Went to a website, downloaded the prg, and it worked. Does your IPAD have a USB port? If it doesnt, I doubt this one I have would work.
01/26/2017 at 3:00 pm #36939iPads do not have USB ports, maybe there is a Bluetooth thingy ma bob that can be used.
01/26/2017 at 5:40 pm #36942It just says USB plug able on it. 🙁
