    Hi,

received my pro pack 2 yesterday, unpacked and set up and very happy with the quality of the kit.

Put my Boker G10 knife in the vice, so I can play with it and use the D2 blade to give the diamonds a shock.

Final edge I got was definitely sharp.

Straightaway ordered the 1500/2200 stones for the gap to the ceramic stones included.

today will see how my Opinel number 10 takes to the new wicked edge.

I did sacrifice some blood to the WE before I started the Opinel.

That looks good with an even bevel width from heel to tip. I have a feeling you’ll be saying that same phrase to yourself often as your stones continue to break in.

Welcome to the forum, Mark. Two things I keep near my WE setup are the cut proof gloves and a bottle of Vetbond (same as Dermabond but cheaper). The Vetbond is for the times I’m too lazy to put the gloves on.

Brewbear:  Thanks for the tip on Vetbond.  I’ll give it a try.  I’ve been trying to use a Loctite gel super glue with mixed results.  On high-octane blood thinners, it’s hard to stop the blood from washing the glue away before you can close the wound.
