Hehehe, well the reason i didn’t use the tape is because I didn’t have any extra. But even if I did, i am not sure that it would stick to the stone too well. I figured the aluminum blanks are cheap and I wanted a permanent mount to those as they are disposable. I can take them both off of the paddle however, and put something else in.
that’s awesome about you getting back into knife making! I am using 1095 currently and g10/micarta. There is a new handle material out that intrigues me, but I haven’t been able to try any yet, it’s called TeroTuf.
