Quick question re installing Gen 3 vise

Hey guys,

Hope you are well.

I am so stoked to have a G3 vise and 10″ rods on the way (and an Alignment Guide).

Does the G3 vise go onto my riser block that I have, the one that came with the pro pack 2?

The Gen 3 doesn’t use the riser block, but I think that if you had long-enough screws, you could add the riser block to achieve somewhat lower angles.  This would raise the operating lever about two inches – maybe a little awkward to use.  Also, you’d probably need to get rods longer than 10 inches.  I made rods 14 inches long and don’t have any problems using them.

So, does it attach to the base directly, or the blue WE platform thing that mounts to the base?

We call the blue arched piece the Base, which is different than a granite or Paperstone base. So the Gen 3 Vise attaches to the blue Base.
