Is it cheaper when you call than when you order via the web site?

Ah, ok. I asked sometimes is it advised to call instead of ordering via the website. But I don’t know why.

Hi comnavsurflant, from a former comnavairpac guy!

Comnavairpac?  I was in AirPac for two WestPac cruises in’64 & ’65.  USS Currituck AV7; the last Seaplane Tender in the navy.  Flagship for CTF 71, CTF 72, & CTF Taiwan Patrol Force.  Were you guys born yet?  I guess not.

    Seaplane tender? That’s very cool!

I wasn’t born yet when you were on WestPac cruises, by my ship was… I did my sea time on the USS Independence, which was at that point the oldest ship in the navy, including supply ships. Little stuff started breaking on the ship and they didn’t bother to fix it because it was already scheduled for decommissioning. Little stuff like air conditioning.

I was an EA-6B NFO (navigator), and we called our jet the double-ugly. We were based out of Atsugi Japan and were at sea quite a bit, with a couple of cruises in the Persian Gulf enforcing the no-fly zone over Iraq (quite uneventful and even boring back in those days, the mid-90s).

Working to make knife.wickededgeusa.com a great forum!

Actually, I was both surflant and airlant.  Much preferred surflant.
