I am a firm believer in these systems, but if I’m being honest, they are more precise and detailed than I could ever need to be. I bought this for my (Wustof) kitchen knives. I don’t make knives, am any sort of (folding, etc) knife connoisseur, or use for any other specialty needs.

These work great, just overkill for me. I’ve sharpened my set of knives about 6 times and once for extra fine leather/paste ones as a test (like one swipe each side). The new 100/200 stones were used once-twice to reprofile 3 knives.

I’ll be downgrading to electric belt as it’s plenty good for my needs (tested a friend’s). My loss, your gain.

Is it a wet-belt system? If not, it will be very easy to ruin the heat treat of your blade bevels.

Dry. I bought a work sharp knife/tool sharpener.
it worked good enough for me.
I also use their drill bit sharpener.
Quality products.
