Tips and tricks. . . I’d be interested in what trick you use to remember to move your angle down (decreasing your angle) 1-2 degees before stropping especially when I use a softer strop like OEM leather paddles, so it doesn’t roll over the edge potentially dulling what I’ve already sharpened?
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve progressed through the stones, started stropping, got half way through and realized I never decreased the angle for stropping. I don’t think this is as much an issue when using Roo or Nano as they are harder mediums, but I like to drop down 1-1.5 anyway.
So far what I’ve come up with is to go back to the bags the stones came in and bag one side and keeping a note into the bag to remind me. Kinda of tacky for such an expensive system IMO.
