I have sharpened every knife in my house twice! This wicked edge journey has been amazing and I have just begun. While peeling potatoes I wondered if I could make it easier by sharpening the peeler. It’s an oxo standard peeler that has years of abuse on it. After a few minutes of figuring out how to hold it, I began edge leading strokes with the 1000 grit diamond stone. The blade pivots, so while pushing one side down the higher edge is exposed. Wow! Using a scary sharp peeler is just as amazing as using a scary sharp knife. I peeled 3 extra potatoes because it was so easy, used them for breakfast the next morning.

    Stay sharp and be safe

Very cool! Can you post a picture of how you clamped the peeler?

I did not clamp it, just held it in my left hand. It was a bit awkward, but a fun challenge.

Okay, so you sharpened it free hand?

Yes I sharpened it freehand but I used the wicked edge stone.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all
