Where do you get Rubber Boots to protect ball joints? Here are two rubber boots on Amazon, but I don’t know if they are the right size. Do you know if they fit?

    HPI Racing 86479 Axle Boot, 22 x 47mm (4)

MadMax #YYB29-1236 Madmax Rubber Axle Boots for HPI Baja 5B RTR/5B SS/5T

    Any recommendations? Thank you.

The mad max ones are what I have on atm…they are a good fit, just cut a notch in the side. 🙂

Both of the ones you listed should be roughly the same size/fit. They’re both for the same model RC buggy. I have the HPI ones.

Here is another way to protect ball joints with latex glove fingers. Thanks to TonyJ!

The old “rubber glove finger trick” works pretty good but Ive been very stoked with how the RC boots have worked out.  Just wish I could have found them in a matching blue color!

A small suggestion would be to possibly cut a notch in the side of the boot so it can hang lower and provide a bit more coverage.  Personal preference ofcourse…I really think the boots add to the overall professional look and  feel of the system.  Well played good sir!

Dulledge:  That’s about the nicest use of a finger cut from a glove that I’ve seen.  I’m using the little latex finger condoms and they occasionally will get twisted up with the threads or the ball joint.  I think I’ll steal my wife’s rubber gloves.
