    Recieved my new F/S system Saturday.  I  broke the new stones in on a couple of  old knives,  then on to my Benchmade 940-2.  It has hair whittling  edge now and a mirror edge.  The next one will be even better.

    I think Mark meant to say that it would take more than a couple of knives to “break-in” your stones.  I expect to go through ten to twenty knives, depending on their length and hardness.  Occasionally, a particularly stubborn stone may take much longer.

    That’s correct. Breaking in is a continous process, so it will get better and better.
