It may be a little off-topic but I’d like to contribute a little on what makes this forum great for me. It’s not the amount of “social interaction” (forum posts, quantity of members, etc) that make this place great. It’s the direct opposite of those.
When I’m here, although only silently reading most of the time, I find it extremely helpful to find technical details that helps me so much in my work. The quality of discussion is very high. Often I simply do not find any need to chime in because I usually find more than what I needed here.
I think this place is great, like a library very specific to WE and sharpening, free of noise. Just my 2 cents and I could be wrong. But I really like the way it is at the moment. 🙂
I’ve read though the topic and also the “Strops or stones” thread. Great share!
