So, my questions are, does anyone else notice this, does it occur in IE, and can the webmaster tell us the limit? :)
I don’t know, but my answer to any question regarding photographs on any forum is always the same: Photobucket.
When I set compatibility mode for a website, it remembers it. At least that means you do not have to remember to make the change each time. Of course, when I change machines… and forget to click the icon, it tends piss me off. Totally my fault though
:)
Important to note that it isn’t the ultimate solution, rather a workaround.
In compatibility mode some things still don’t display correctly.
The online names down the bottom are cut off for example.
The tabs like “recent topics” above have a smaller working point.
The site needs to be made IE9 compatible.
These two pics are taken seconds apart (IE9), the top one is in “Compat Mode”.
You can see the online names cut off. (can’t do two lines)
Not sure where to post this, didn’t want to start a new thread just for this topic.
Today I ordered a few more items and saw the Facebook page on the order screen. I hadn’t thought about WE on Facebook, but it makes sense, everyone is there. Like another knife forum I am on, a lot of members have Facebook accounts but don’t check them often. They use the forum mainly.
My request would be for Clay to have a sticky thread or pinned thread for “Current News” etc. Anything that is posted on Facebook. Especially coupon codes, special offers, new products, etc. I will “like” WE on Facebook, but I so rarely check it, and when I do I don’t read back days and days to catch up I miss import stuff.
The other knife forum I was on had the same problem. The hottest, latest news came out first on Facebook, then later or not at all on the forum. They have since improved and started posting current news on the forum as well.
Don’t know how the rest of the forum thinks, do you go here first or look at Facebook for new about WE?
Ah yes, I missed that. On the home page there is a “Latest News” section and Facebook reprint lower down. So for me that’s OK. I normally come straight to the forums here and skip the home page.
I’ll get better at posting any news to the forum as well. Usually the stuff I post in the news section is not the really interesting stuff, just humdrum business details
