My father has some old garden sears/loppers with 6" blade and 12" handle I am trying to sharpen. My sharpener only goes to 30 deg angle but it looks like I need another 3-5 deg wider. Any suggestions or adapters that would work. I have the WE 66 Obsidian sharpener.

Welcome to the W.E. Forum, Andy. To achieve wider angle settings with the WE66 you might be able to use the W.E. Scissors Adapter if you can clamp the shears by the handle, or possible with the Tormek Small knife adapter.
Another option is to try a physical wedge-shaped spacer between the vise jaws and the shears to offset the clamping position to one side. With the shears you are sharpening one side at a time anyway, so it may be doable.
