New WE lover from down under...

Hey guys! Great to finally join the forums.

I used to run a knife online retail business here in Australia called knives2survive. Since then I have discontinued the business, but kept my knife sharpening service going via australianbladeforums.com.

ABF Pics & ProjectsI have a whole bunch of pictures of knives I’ve sharpened on my Wicked Edge there. . I’ve got all the diamond stones, ceramics, and strops with diamond paste, and can get nice shiny edges no worries with that. I haven’t quite refined it to an absolute mirror without seeing any visible scratches like Clay does on his blog, but I guess that’s the next step in stepping up to using the Chosera’s etc.

Anyways, great to be here and hope to learn a lot.
Sam.

Nice pictures in your thread.

WELCOME! Really nice job on those blades!

What size is the Kukri type knife some great finishes there !

How about adding yourself to the map - Wicked Edge Users Map it is interesting for all plus I imagine especially Clay .
I dont see any other Antipodeans so I would guess you are the first Australasian it is quite something to see a small specialist product become global so far there appear only to be five people registered in Europe .
I like the avatar picture.

Welcome to the forum Sam…that is some beautiful looking edges…AND KNIVES…on your site, nice job ! B)

Thanks mate!

Thanks mate! Still learning. Although I don’t think anyone ever stops learning new techniques with the WE.

As Mikedoh said, there is a Cold Steel Rajah II there. Also A Becker BK4 Machax. I had to sharpen that one in a few stages due the complex blade geometry, but all good fun!
