Should have replied sooner. Its a great topic, actually so good I think it needs its own category on the forum. A special spot to show and discuss ongoing tweaks, adjustments, changes, & personal touches we all do to this amazing system. I have several just to the L bracket alone that have made a huge difference in the sharpening experience for me.
As soon as I can Id be happy to share some photos etc. An indepth breakdown of whats been done, how & why, could be invaluable to the new & old hand alike. B)

I’d say a whole other category. I’ve seen lots of post today with people’s mods. Should be lots of material to add.

I’m actually considering playing around with some Plasti-Dip before I send it off to get powder coated. I just discovered that stuff a few days ago and I LOVE IT!! Been Plasti-dipping nearly everything I get my hands on. Haha.

I’d think there is enough material to cover under Customization, tweaks, & modifications to warrant it’s own category(Edit: Just got home and checked the index listing, perhaps it could merge well with “Sharpener and Accessory Maintenance”? Something like Sharpener Maintenance & Customization? Just thoughts…

Custom powder coating would be baller! The plasti-dip is tempting as well. I can for see some jacked up, tricked out, custom powder coated setups coming down the line around here soon!

That’s exactly what I want to happen! Users to get creative!
Having experience in Advertising and Marketing, I geek out on the whole concept of niches. Mainly because I consider myself somewhat of an elitist when it comes down to things I’m involved with, regardless of whether it’s a product, a service, an idea, guitars, etc… Niches are a cultural anomaly… Create a snowball effect by collaborating with others who share the same interest as I do? I’m all in… It’s fun. It’s intrinsically motivated. It’s genuine.
I hope the in-house marketing team at Wicked Edge embraces what we do. I think they do considering an online forum has been provided; a platform for priceless dialogue.

Maybe I could launch a side business to my main sharpening business… “pimp my Wicked Edge” lol. I could do custom cerakote jobs in any pattern (like kryptek or something) and then incorporate the owner’s name into the graphics… hmmmm you guys got me thinking! hahaha
I’m getting ready to order Wills Mods next week. I fell in love with those handles. Lol
