Low angle slipping! Ugg

Ok, got a low angle adapter and it slips changing blade angle front to back. What can I do to help this?

I tried tape, hard crank on the screws. Really frustrated right now.

Are you snugging up the top screw, then tightening the bottom screw?

Yes. Wrestled with a buck knife yesterday.

It would help to see some photos.

Front to back slippage is usually due to a distal blade taper, but if Buck knives (which seldom have significant tapers to them) are problematic, then it might be something else. As Robert suggests, photos or a short video would be more helpful.

To expand on the taper problem as it relates to the LAA, the adapter is quite a bit wider than the main clamp, and therefor less flexible in adapting to the shape of the blade. Adding tape or some other “padding” to the blade helps to increase clamping area, but I don’t recall what the maximum blade thickness is for the LAA.
