Long & flex knife mount

Been waiting for a wider mount for long flex knives for 2+ years. Thinking of rigging up a mount vertically like the competitors have horizontally. Has one attempted this ?

Tom I also posted to the FB Group. I can share more photos here. I was fortunate enough to end up with part of an unpursued project that I was testing. The concept is great. This (blue colored) “Outrigger” supports and stabilizes knives I have clamped in my modified WE130.

The rear orange cradle belts the handle in place. I can slide and rotate the clamps and cradle forward, backward, up and down and at angle that works best for the situation.

I drilled and tapped these Gritomatic clamps to fit the 1/4" round SS rod.

I love this “Outrigger”. I thought about making a similar track/support system using these Gritomatic vises, Powertec “T” track and the many Powertec accessories available. But, between this modified WE130 and my Double Vise “Big Rig” setup I never needed to pursue the idea.
