Lighted Magnifier?

I’m looking for a good, lighted magnifying glass. I have a scope that attaches to my laptop, but sometimes it’s just more trouble than I wish to go to. I see lots on Amazon, but they all seem to be 10x power. Is that about it?

Here’s the one I bought, it’s pretty inexpensive and it’s 250x.

Thanks for the link, however I already have a laptop scope for hi-res viewing. What I want is a hi-powered, lighted, magnifying glass for quick viewing, just to check my progress as I sharpen. I recently saw a video of Clay using one.

I have used these two:

60X LED lighted Jeweler’s Loupe and Hand Microscope .

I found I have an aversion to placing my fingers and leaning my face up very close to an exposed sharpened knife edge.

I gave up using both of those for the USB Microscope. This allows me to sit safely back where I can see my hands and fingers holding the m-scope to knife edge as I watch the computer screen from a safe distance.

I have both of those lighted scopes MarcH posted. The “hand microscope” is a bummer because it magnifies better than anything in that price point but it inverts the image which makes using it an endlessly frustrating process in my opinion.

The “60x LED lighted jeweler’s loupe” is a great buy and I use mine just about every time I sharpen. It works well in place of a full on USB scope. You don’t get nearly as much magnification as a USB scope will give you, but it is quick, small, and a lot more effective than unaided visual inspection. That would be my recommendation for your intended use case.

Thank you. I’ll def check out the 60x loop. There are so many loops and things out there. I’ve tried a few without success, so recommendations are appreciated. I also restore alarm clocks and use various magnifiers, but none of those work well for knives, besides the USB scope. I just wish the USB scope was less hassle to use.
